Prohibited Content

  • Website Hosting: hotlinking graphics is only permitted in the context of sharing, not for hosting your website.
  • Illegal Downloads: The use of Warez, mp3 files that you are not the rightful owner of, cracks, and any other forms of copyrighted software that you are not legally allowed to use/distribute are all strictly prohibited.
  • XXX/Porn: Pornography is strictly prohibited.
  • Viruses: Hosting viruses, or sending viruses via e-mail, or allowing users to download files with Trojans, viruses, or any harmful files are all strictly prohibited.
  • Passworded Archives: The use of passworded archives is strictly prohibited, localhostr needs to be able to ascertain any archive does not contain any of the above material.
  • Split Archives: The use of split archives to circumvent the file size limit is strictly prohibited.
  • localhostr reserves the right to remove content for any reason it deems appropriate.

File Longevity

  • Image files are given priority for retention and are usually not removed unless for violation of the terms above.
  • All other files reside on the localhostr servers for 30 days or until we need to recover disk space, which ever comes first.
  • Priority for deletion is given to files that have never been downloaded.
  • Files attached to user accounts hold the highest priority and are currently not deleted under any circumstance.
